Xiaomi today rolled out the latest custom skin HyperOS (HyperOS) update for the Redmi Note 11 Pro smartphone. At the time of launch i.e. in March 2022, the device came pre-loaded with Android 11 based MIUI 13 custom ROM in India. But now this handset will be powered by Android 13 based HyperOS. Please note that this update is currently available for Mi Pilot users. The latest February 2024 security patch is also available under this.
HyperOS update released for Redmi Note 11 Pro smartphone
The HyperOS update released for the Redmi Note 11 Pro smartphone is 1.1 GB in size and has a build number of OS1.0.2.0.TGDMIXM. Now let’s talk about the changelog. The Weather app has been redesigned under this update, which will show important weather information as well as give an idea of what the weather is like in the surrounding area.
This update will add new system fonts and animation languages to provide a better experience. Notifications received will be information-centric. Redmi Note 11 Pro users will also get the upgraded multi-window interface. Xiaomi has brought this update with support for their in-house multi-rendering technology aimed at delivering better visuals. Besides, as we mentioned earlier, the new Android 13-based HyperOS update comes with the latest February 2024 security patch for system security offerings.
Incidentally, the Redmi Note 11 Pro has already received two major Android updates. So chances of the device getting the latest Android 14 update are very low. Maybe the HyperOS update is going to be the last major OS update for the phone. However, it is not right to say anything for sure until Xiaomi announces something about it. However, the company is expected to release security patches for the handset in another year.
