Redmi K70 Ultra big surprise, may have 24GB RAM and huge 1000 GB storage

The Redmi K70 Ultra phone is going to hit the market soon. Already, multiple leaks about the phone have surfaced and it has also been spotted on the 3C certification platform. And now a tipster has leaked the specifications of the K70 Ultra phone.

Redmi is planning to add a new model to its performance-focused K70 series, called the Redmi K70 Ultra. It will be the fourth and most powerful model in the lineup. The phone has already been approved by the China Compulsory Certification (3C) site and is slated to be launched as the successor to the Redmi K60 Ultra phone that was launched in August last year. Now a source has revealed some key specifications of the Redmi K70 Ultra handset. Let's know about the upcoming ultra model in detail.

The specifications of the Redmi K70 Ultra phone have been leaked

According to a Weibo (microblogging site) post by a Chinese tipster, the Redmi K70 Ultra phone will feature MediaTek's Dimension 9300 Plus chipset. Incidentally, the Redmi K70 Pro phone launched in November last year came with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The Ultra model is also said to feature a standalone X7 display chip, which is also found in its predecessor, the Redmi K60 Ultra phone. Last month, another Weibo tipster also mentioned the use of an independent display chip in the Ultra model. Also for power backup, the handset will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and the phone will support 120W fast charging.

As per earlier reports, the Redmi K70 Ultra could offer a massive 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The Redmi handset will feature an OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz high refresh rate, surrounded by a metal mid-frame. The rear panel of this Redmi phone will be made of glass.

In terms of cameras, the Redmi K70 Ultra's rear camera setup will include a 50-megapixel Light Hunter 800 (OVX8000) primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and an additional 2-megapixel sensor (presumably a depth sensor). Cameras can also be tuned by Leica for better image processing. The main sensor (Light Hunter 800) will be 1/1.55-inch and offer a native dynamic range of 13.2 EV.

Notably, the Redmi K70 Pro is the first to feature the Light Hunter 800 sensor, which is also used in the company's recently launched camera-focused smartphone Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro. Last month a Xiaomi device with model number 2407FRK8EC appeared on the 3C certification platform, which is expected to be the Redmi K70 Ultra based on the specifications.
