Now a tipster claims that Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi will also launch a phone with the SD8G3 chip. In which model of Redmi the processor will be used, let’s know.
Redmi K70 Pro phone may have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
First of all, Redmi launched the Redmi K60e, Redmi K60 (Standard) and Redmi K60 Pro under the Redmi K60 series in December last year. These phones use MediaTek Dimension 8200, Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets respectively. Several smartphones will be launched under the upcoming Redmi K70 series. Tipster Digital Chat Station claims that this lineup will also include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone. The upcoming Redmi K70 Pro, the successor to the K60 Pro, may use the said chipset.
Incidentally, the Redmi K60 Pro model has been launched only in China. Therefore, it is not clear whether its successor will also be released outside China. Currently, no information has surfaced about the other specifications of the Redmi K70 series. Various reports have revealed that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip will be comprised of a Cortex X4 core running at 3.75 GHz, five Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 3.0 GHz and two Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz.
The unannounced processor has been spotted on Geekbench and AnTuTu benchmarking platforms with outstanding scores. In Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, the SD8G3 scored 2,563 and 7,256 points, respectively. On the other hand, the same chip scored 17,71,106 points on Untutu.
