Last March, a report revealed that Redmi is gearing up to launch its next budget smartphone under its A series, the Redmi A3x. Although no details about its specifications were known then, now the key specifications of the Redmi A3x phone have surfaced courtesy of a well-known tipster. Let's take a look at them.

Marketing material of the Redmi A3X phone has been shared online by tipster Pars Googlani aka PassionNetGeekz. It shows that the design of the phone will be similar to the standard Redmi A3 phone The specifications of the phone are also expected to be the same as the base model. The Redmi A3X model features a 6.71-inch HD+ display with a U-shaped notch and 90Hz refresh rate.
The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and the back will have a circular camera island with a glass finish, consisting of an 8-megapixel primary camera and an auxiliary lens. For selfies, the phone will house a 5-megapixel front camera.
However, the main difference between the Redmi A3x and Redmi A3 phones is the processor. While the Redmi A3x will be powered by the Unisoc T603 processor, the Redmi A3 has the MediaTek Helio G36 chipset. The same processor is used in the Itel A70 phone launched in India in January. The Redmi A3x handset will have 3GB of RAM and 64GB of in-built storage. However, its RAM capacity can be expanded up to 4 GB through virtual RAM support. In terms of power backup, the phone will get a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 10W charging.
In terms of software, the Redmi A3x phone will run on Android 14 operating system and will include both side-mounted fingerprint and face unlock for security. The device will be available in Green and Gray color options. Although the tipster hasn't revealed the price, its specifications are similar to the Redmi A3, which has a starting price of Rs 7,299 in India. So it is expected that the Redmi A3x model will also be priced in the same range.
