This very affordable entry-level smartphone has now been spotted on the Google Play Console certification platform, indicating that it is making its foray into the Indian market after the neighboring country. The Indian model of the Redmi A3X handset has appeared on the Google Play console platform. This listing confirms that it carries the model number 24048RN6CI. Here “I” refers to the Indian variant. Incidentally, the model number of its global version is 24048RN6CG. However, apart from the model number, the Google Play console certification did not reveal any details about the specifications of the budget phone.
But since the Redmi A3X has already been launched in some markets, none of its features are unknown anymore. The device features a 6.71-inch IPS LCD panel, offering HD+ resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone is powered by the Unisock T603 processor, which is paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of in-built storage. However, the phone's storage can also be expanded up to 1 TB via a microSD card slot.
For photography, the Redmi A3x handset features an 8-megapixel dual AI (AI) camera setup on the back and a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. In terms of power backup, this Redmi phone comes with a 5,000mAh capacity battery, which supports 15W wired fast charging. It runs on Android 14 operating system and offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security and a 3.5mm audio jack for audio. The brand has launched the Redmi A3x in Pakistan at Rs 18,999 (approx Rs 5,700), so expect it to be priced around Rs 6,000 in the Indian market.
