Nubia Red Magic 8S Pro and Red Magic 8S Pro+ smartphones have been launched in the Chinese market today i.e. 5th July. ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia packs two of their latest ‘gaming focused’ handsets – an AMOLED display panel with 120Hz refresh rate support, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, up to 24GB of RAM, 1TB of storage and ICE 12.0 with a 3D vapor chamber ( ICE 12.0) cooling system. However, there are some feature differences between the devices. For example, the Red Magic 8S Pro model comes with a large 6,000mAh capacity battery with 80W fast charging support. The higher-end Red Magic 8S Pro+ phone has a powerful 5,000mAh battery, which offers 165W fast charging. Red Magic 8S Pro, Red Magic 8S Pro+ Price and Availability
The base model of the Red Magic 8S Pro smartphone with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage has been priced at 3,999 Yuan (around Rs. 45,300 in India). The phone will also be available in top-end variants with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. These variants are priced at 4,399 Yuan (roughly Rs. 50,000), 4,799 Yuan (roughly Rs. 54,000) and 5,499 Yuan (roughly Rs. 62,000).
On the other hand, the price of the Red Magic 8S Pro+ smartphone starts from 5,499 Yuan (about Rs. 62,400). This price is for the base model of the phone with 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. Again, the price of the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant has been set at 5,799 Yuan (about Rs. 65,900).
Incidentally, the Red Magic 8S Pro+ model has also been launched in Aurora Special variant and Bumblebee Limited Edition. Of which the Aurora edition is made available with 16GB RAM + 512GB storage, 16GB RAM + 512GB storage, 16GB RAM + 1TB storage and 24GB RAM + 1TB storage options. They are priced respectively – 5,799 Yuan (approx. Rs. 65,200), 5,999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 68,100), 6,999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 79,400), and 7,499 Yuan (approx. Rs. 90,000). 000 rupees). Specifications of Red Magic 8S Pro+
The dual-SIM (Nano) Red Magic 8S Pro+ smartphone features a 6.8-inch Full HD Plus (1116×2480 pixels) AMOLED display panel with 120 Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness, 960 Hz touch sampling rate and 100% DCI- P3 supports color gamut. It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading Edition processor based on 4nm processing node for improved performance. Again the device comes with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage.
Talking about other specifications, the Red Magic 8S Pro+ smartphone has a cooling fan, graphene and a 3D vapor chamber ICE 12.0 Magic Cooling technology, which helps in controlling the temperature of the device during gaming. It also has an in-house Red Core R2 chip and dual x-axis linear motors. Again in terms of audio department, the handset in question will get a dual speaker system supported by DTS:X Ultra Sound technology.
For photography, the Red Magic 8S Pro+ phone has a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 primary sensor. There will be a 16-megapixel under-display shooter on top of the display for selfies and video calling. Furthermore, the phone’s connectivity options include – 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack. A 5,000mAh capacity battery is provided for power backup, which supports 165W fast charging. The battery – which Nubia claims can be fully charged in just 14 minutes – offers up to 42 hours of playback time on a single charge.
Please note that although the packaging of the Bumblebee Limited Edition of the Red Magic 8S Pro+ smartphone is different, all the specifications are the same as the regular model.

Red Magic 8S Pro smartphone – Display, cooling system, connectivity options, operating system and processor version are similar to the above mentioned Red Magic 8S Pro+ model. The phone in question also sports the same triple rear camera setup as the ‘Pro+’ model, featuring a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 main sensor. And a 16-megapixel under-screen selfie camera is available on the front of the device.
Talking about the feature differences, the Red Magic 8S Pro smartphone will get up to 16 GB of RAM and a maximum of 512 GB of onboard storage. In terms of power backup, it has a relatively large 6,000mAh capacity battery unit, which supports 80W fast charging. The battery can be charged to 100% in just 35 minutes and offers 48.14 hours of playtime on a full charge.
