A new smartphone called Poco M6 Pro 5G may enter the Indian market very soon. In fact, a recent tweet by Himanshu Tandon, country head of Poco India, suggests that the brand will soon start working on launching the phone under the ‘6’ series. In this regard, the Poco M6 Pro 5G smartphone has already received clearance from India’s ‘Bureau of Indian Standards’ or BIS. So we guess this model could make its debut in the country as the first handset of the ‘6’ series.
Notably, a new Poco-branded device with model number 23076PC4BI has been spotted listed on the BIS certification platform in Halfil. After which several reports claim that the upcoming phone in India will be named Poco M6 Pro 5G. However, the handset may be launched with a different name in the global market.
Incidentally, another smartphone with model number 23076RN4BI has also been spotted in the database of BIS certification site. This device will be named Redmi 12 5G. In this regard, it is believed that the Poco M6 Pro 5G / Redmi 12 5G model will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12R smartphone that was launched in China last month. Although the Poco-branded device is likely to offer a different rear panel design compared to the Redmi 12 5G. But there may be similarities in terms of features.
Specifications of Redmi Note 12R
The Redmi Note 12R smartphone launched in China features a 6.79-inch Full HD Plus (2460×1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate support. It is powered by MIUI 14 custom skin based on Android 13. As storage, the device can get up to 8 GB of RAM and a maximum of 256 GB of ROM. After all, it is the only phone in the world powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset
For photos and videography, the Redmi Note 12R smartphone features a dual rear camera setup with LED flash. These cameras are – 50 megapixel primary sensor and 2 megapixel macro sensor. And the 5 megapixel selfie camera on the front of the device is noteworthy. Moreover, for power backup, the model in question is equipped with a 5,000 mAh capacity battery supported by 18 W charging technology.
