Poco is going to launch the world’s first Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 smartphone outside of China

Poco is expected to launch their Poco F6 series soon. The lineup will reportedly include two models – the standard Poco F6 and the Poco F6 Pro. Various information regarding the handsets have already been leaked. Ahead of the launch now, the upcoming Poco F6 phone has been spotted on Singapore’s IMDA certification website. Let’s find out what information came out of this certification.

Poco F6 gets IMDA approval

The global variant of the Poco F6 with model number 24069PC21G has received certification from the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore. This certification does not reveal any information about the upcoming F-series handset in terms of specifications. However, the appearance of the Poco F6 on the IMDA website, hints at an imminent launch.

Recently, a Poco executive released a teaser hinting at the launch of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen 3-powered smartphone. Which indicates that Poco will be the first brand to launch the Snapdragon 8S Gen 3-powered smartphone outside of China. It is expected to be the Poco F6.

Notably, the Poco F6 with model numbers 24069PC21I (Indian variant) and 24069PC21G (global variant) was earlier spotted in the IMEI database. According to the IMEI, this phone will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Turbo to be launched in China.

Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Redmi Note 13 Turbo will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and the company is gearing up for the launch in China. The phone will come with an OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi Note 13 Turbo may have a 50-megapixel primary rear camera and a 20-megapixel selfie camera. For power backup, the handset will offer a 5,000mAh battery unit with 90W fast charging support.
