Realme launched the flagship Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone with 240W fast charging support in China last February. Again in April an SE variant was launched under this series. Now the company is said to have started preparing for the launch of the next generation Realme GT Neo 6 series. It is likely to launch in the month of August. But now it is rumored that Qualcomm is working on a new flagship phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Which will enter the market after Realme GT Neo 6.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in the new Realme GT phone
Tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed that Realme’s upcoming flagship phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and will also offer interesting specifications. He also said that the smartphone will improve photography capabilities due to the presence of Periscope zoom camera. However, the tipster did not reveal any other details regarding the other specifications or the launch timeline.
Most likely, this flagship phone will belong to the Realme GT series and will be launched a few months after the Realme GT Neo 6 series. Qualcomm is expected to officially announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in October this year. Leading brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus and iQOO are likely to launch Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered flagship phones by November-December this year.
It is rumored that the Realme GT Neo 6 to be launched in August will use the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Hence, the brand is likely to launch its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered phone at least six months after the launch of the GT Neo 6. It is likely to hit the market by the first quarter of next year
Notably, the Realme GT Neo 6 is expected to come with a 6.74-inch OLED display, which will offer 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. For photography, the phone may have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 triple rear camera unit with optical image stabilization (OIS). Like the current generation Realme GT Neo 5, this device can support 240W fast charging technology
