Oppo A78 5G was launched in the Indian market last January. This smartphone has LCD display with 90 Hz refresh rate, 33W fast charging support and MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. But the price is much higher than the features Available at Rs 18,999, this phone has better models in its price range. Meanwhile, it is heard that Oppo may launch the 4G version of this phone. Speculations have increased and now the Oppo A78 4G has been spotted on the IMDA certification platform.
Oppo A78 4G will be cheaper than its 5G version
The Oppo A78 4G variant with model number CPH2565 has been listed on the IMDA certification website. The listing confirms that the A78 4G will have support for WCDMA, LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS. Apart from these facts though, not much else is known about the new Oppo device.
However, the word 4G in the name of the device indicates that it will be cheaper than its 5G version, which is currently listed on Amazon India’s website with a price tag of Rs 18,999. The Oppo A78 4G will likely offer a different processor and downgraded display.
Please note that Oppo A78 5G has a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a maximum refresh rate of 90 Hz. The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimension 700 chipset, which is paired with 8GB of RAM. For photography, the dual camera setup on the rear panel of the A78 5G features a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth lens and an LED flash.
An 8-megapixel selfie camera is present on the front of the phone. In terms of power backup, the Oppo A78 5G uses a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. It runs ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 user interface. The device weighs 188 grams and is 7.99 millimeters slim.
