Oppo launched the mid-range Oppo A3 Pro smartphone in the Chinese market last April. Ever since its launch in China, it was rumored that it will soon enter global markets including India. The Oppo A3 Pro has already appeared on the site of the UAE's Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) with the model number CPH2639. It is also seen in Indonesia's SDPPI certification platform. This indicates an upcoming global launch of the device. And now the Oppo A3 Pro has been spotted on India's BIS certification platform, indicating the phone's imminent arrival in the country.
Oppo A3 Pro is coming soon to the global market
Oppo A3 Pro with model number CPH2667 has appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards certification platform. As usual this listing did not reveal any specifications of the device. However, it is believed that the global variant of the A3 Pro phone will be very similar to its Chinese model.
Please note that the Chinese variant of the Oppo A3 Pro phone has a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The manual peak brightness level of this panel is 500 nits, it goes up to 800 nits in high brightness mode and its local peak brightness is 950 nits. The phone has an in-display optical fingerprint scanner.
For photography, the Oppo A3 Pro comprises of a 64-megapixel primary camera on the back of the handset and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. And for selfies, there will be an 8 megapixel front camera in front of the phone.
As for performance, the Oppo A3 Pro will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The storage and memory configuration in the global variant may differ from the Chinese version.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor is comprised of two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz and a power-efficient Cortex-A55 core clocked at 2.0GHz. In Geekbench benchmarking platform's CPU test, the phone scored around 900 and 2,300 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. For graphics, the chipset will be paired with Mali G68 GPU.
For power backup, the Oppo A3 Pro phone has a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 67W SuperVOOC charging. A notable aspect of this phone is the IP79 (IP69) dust and water resistance rating, as only a few flagship phones like the Vivo X100 Ultra offer this protection.
It should be noted that the price of the phone in the market outside of China has not yet been confirmed. In the Chinese market, the 8GB+128GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB storage versions of the phone are priced at 1,999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 23,535), 2,199 Yuan (approx. Rs. 25,900) and 2,999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 25,900) respectively. 499 Yuan (about Rs. 28,800).
