OnePlus is going to launch its first foldable phone in the market very soon. It will debut as the OnePlus V Fold. Speculations have been going on in the tech world for several months about this much awaited device. At the Cloud 11 event last February, OnePlus confirmed that they will launch the foldable phone in the third quarter of this year. Recent reports indicate that it will be unveiled in August. Earlier this year, the company also trademarked the V Fold and V Flip with the China National Intellectual Property Administration. And now a well-known tipster has released a render of the foldable.
OnePlus V Fold renders leaked
Design renders of the OnePlus V Fold have surfaced in collaboration with SmartPrix and tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer. which displayed the phone from all angles As such, it has a tall form factor on the right and looks a lot like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold. The cover screen has a centered punch-hole cutout, while the inner screen’s punch-hole cutout is located in the upper left corner. Having slim bezels around the Ruvoy display can also result in a higher screen-to-body ratio.
The OnePlus V Fold phone looks quite slim. The black leather finish back panel houses a circular camera module, with Hasselblad brandy as the focus. It features a camera sensor and a periscope lens. The right edge of the foldable phone also includes OnePlus’ iconic alert slider and volume rocker button. A USB-C port resides along with two on the top and a speaker grill on the bottom.
Apart from these, OnePlus has not revealed any additional information about the V Fold from the render. Going by the images, the foldable phone does not appear to be a rebranded version of the Oppo Find N2, as it has a compact form factor. It was earlier claimed that the V Fold will have a larger screen with a 2K display resolution.
