While smartphone brands like Oppo and Vivo are mulling to shelve their foldable projects, another well-known Chinese brand, Nubia, is working hard to bring its own foldable devices to the market. Nubia is working tirelessly on not just one, but two folding designs – one is the clamshell form factor and the other is the book-style. And now the company’s first clamshell folding phone, Nubia Flip 5G has appeared on China’s 3C (CCC) platform. This public certification points to the upcoming launch of the device. Nubia Flip 5G gets 3C approval
The Nubia Flip 5G phone has been listed on the China Compulsory Certification Platform with the model number NX724J. According to the listing, the phone will support 33W fast charging, although it is not yet known if the phone will come with wireless charging support. The 3C database also revealed that the device may ship with a power adapter with model number STC-A5111530AC. Based on this information, it is speculated that the Nubia Flip 5G will initially debut in their home market, i.e. China.
Apart from the mentioned information, details regarding the specifications of Nubia Flip 5G are not available at the moment. More information about its processor, camera system and other features will likely surface in the near future through various online reports and more certifications. The Nubia Flip 5G smartphone may debut alongside the Nubia Z60 Fold, the company’s upcoming book-style foldable. It is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and equipped with an AMOLED panel on both the inner and cover displays. Besides, the device may offer a large 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.

The Nubia Z60 Fold has been listed with the model number NX801J, while the Nubia Flip 5G phone has been spotted with the model number NX724J. This indicates that Nubia has started the process of bringing these devices to the market. However, nothing has been officially announced about their launch date yet.
