Nokia brought back their classic Nokia 3210 phone last week to celebrate their 25th anniversary. It was released in global markets including China and the feature phone is said to have gained popularity among Chinese consumers soon after the launch. The Nokia 3210 went on sale in China on May 8 at a price of just 349 yuan (about Rs. 4,030). And now the Finland-based brand took to social media to confirm that all three colors (Black, Blue and Gold) of the Nokia 3210 handset were completely sold out within just two days of the sale. As a result, the company is aggressively working to bring its new stock to the market.
Stock of Nokia 3210 phone ends in just two days
In addition to announcing on their official Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) handle that the entire stock of the Nokia 3210 phone will run out in two days, Nokia has assured fans that its factories are working at full capacity to meet customer demand and will be back by May 31, 8pm (local time). Its stock will be replenished.
Notably, while the Nokia 3210 4G retains the iconic design of its predecessor, it has some modern upgrades. For example, it supports 4G connectivity, a 2-megapixel rear camera, a USB Type-C port, and Alipay mobile payment feature for Chinese users only.
For those who couldn't afford the Nokia 3210 4G or are looking for a more affordable option, Nokia recommends their recently launched Nokia 220 4G phone. The phone is available in China for less than 299 Yuan (roughly Rs. 3,520). It features a robust and square design with a large 2.8-inch screen. As a reliable backup phone, the Nokia 220 4G offers a long-lasting 1,450 mAh battery and convenient Type-C charging port. It includes user-friendly large font buttons and QR code support for payments.
Besides, Nokia 220 4G supports dual SIM. The phone is compatible with major Chinese telecoms such as China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom and Radio & Television 4G networks. Nokia's new feature phone also has support for VoLTE high-definition voice calls.
