Shenzhen-based brand ZTE today (July 19) quietly launched a new budget-range smartphone in the global market, named the ZTE Blade V50 Design 5G. Talking about the features, the device in question – IPS LCD display with 90 Hz refresh rate, Android 13 based custom skin, 50 megapixel dual rear camera unit, and 4,500 mAh capacity battery. Also, as the name suggests, the handset supports 5G connectivity and comes with multiple sensor options including a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The new JTE Blade V50 Design 5G smartphone features a 6.6-inch (1080×2408 pixels) IPS LCD display panel, which supports 400 ppi pixel density and 90 Hz refresh rate. It uses Unisoc Tanggula T760 processor and IMG9446 GPU based on 12nm processing node to provide better performance. And the phone runs on Tiramisu custom operating system based on Android 13. It will have 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
Talking about the camera department, the ZTE Blade V50 Design 5G smartphone features a dual rear camera setup with LED flash. These cameras are – 50 megapixel primary sensor and 2 megapixel depth lens. Among which the main camera is capable of recording video at 1080 pixels resolution. There is an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front of the device.
Connectivity: Dual SIM card (5G included) slot, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, FM radio, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack are included. It will get a side-mounted fingerprint reader for security. Other sensor options include – proximity, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope and infrared sensors. Finally, the ZTE Blade V50 Design 5G smartphone has a 4,500mAh capacity non-removable battery, which supports 22.5W fast charging.

In the European market, the ZTE Blade V50 Design 5G smartphone has been priced at EUR 210 (roughly Rs. 19,300 in India). It is available in – Sky Blue, Starry Gray and Gray Matte color options.
Incidentally, ZTE is currently gearing up to launch a new smartphone called the Nubia Z50S Pro in China. It is expected that this smartphone will make its debut tomorrow i.e. 20th July.
