Vivo today announced a price cut for one of its budget-range smartphones in India. The Vivo Y16, which debuted in the country on September 22, 2022, can now be purchased at an even lower price. At launch it came with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage options. Out of which the higher 64 GB storage option has been reduced by Rs 1,000. Last year, the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the Vivo Y16 smartphone was launched at Rs 12,499. But after the recent price cut of Rs 1,000, the storage option of the device can be bought for Rs 11,499. It is available in – Gold and Black color options.

The dual SIM Vivo Y16 comes with a 2.5D curved body design. It has a 6.51-inch HD Plus (1,600×720 pixels) IPS LCD display, which supports 60 Hz refresh rate. The device in question has a MediaTek Helio P35 processor to deliver good performance. It will have 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. However, apart from fixed RAM, it will also support 1 GB of virtual RAM. As an operating system, Android 12 based Funtouch OS 12 (Funtouch OS 12) custom user interface is pre-loaded.
Talking about the camera department, the Vivo Y16 smartphone has a dual camera setup on the back. These cameras are a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary lens. This rear camera supports Super HDR and Aura Screen Light mode. Meanwhile, it will get a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Moreover, gamers will also get the benefit of Multi Turbo and Ultra Game Mode on this device, which gives the phone an extra boost in terms of gaming performance.
The connectivity options of this Vivo phone include – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack. The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the power button of the device for security. Apart from this, face unlock feature will also be available.
