Microsoft Xbox One X, Xbox One S All-Digital Edition Production discontinued by Microsoft

Microsoft Xbox One X, Xbox One S All-Digital Edition Production discontinued by Microsoft, the US-based company now wants to focus on the production of the “Xbox Series X” which is the upcoming next-generation console from Microsoft. Unfortunately, Xbox One S digital edition was launched just last year.

Microsoft has reportedly stopped the production of One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition but standard Xbox One S will continue to be sold. Currently, The Xbox One X and both versions of the Xbox One S are available in India, while, Microsoft’s Australian website removed One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition from listing and except the standard Xbox One S. Amazon US has marked both, the Xbox One X and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition as discontinued. 


“As we ramp into the future with Microsoft Xbox Series X, we’re taking the natural step of stopping production on Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, Xbox One S will continue to be manufactured and sold globally” said by Microsoft spokesperson.


“Gamers can check with their local retailers for more details on Xbox One hardware availability,” he added.


Even production of these console may have stopped but, stock of Microsoft Xbox One X, Xbox One S All-Digital Edition still seems to be available on retailers like Amazon and Flipkart in India.


The Xbox One X was revealed in 2017 while the Xbox One S appeared in 2016 as an upgraded variant of original Xbox One from 2013. the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition was launched without a Blu-ray Disc drive in April 2019.


Microsoft already confirmed a game showcase on its twitter account. So, It is expected that the tech giant may unveil Xbox series X and game showcase on the same day on July 23rd. Likewise, Sony showed off the PS5 console and games showcase event last month.
