Lava is gearing up to launch a new smartphone under its Yuva brand in India It is called Lava Yuva 2 and is rumored to be officially launched in early August. Compared to the Lava Yuva 2 Pro, which was launched last February for less than Rs 8,000, this model is naturally going to be cheaper. The company has now revealed the price and storage variants of the device.
Lava Yuva 2 price and memory variants in India
Indian smartphone brand Lava has released a teaser confirming that the new Lava Yuva 2 will be priced at Rs 6,999, while the existing Yuva 2 Pro is available at Rs 7,999. Notably, while most brands in the same price range usually offer 2GB RAM and 32GB storage in their handsets, Lava will launch this phone with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage, making it more ‘value-for-money’.
Although, the detailed specifications of the Lava Yuba 2 are yet to be revealed by the company, it is reported that the device will be launched primarily targeting the offline market in India. On the other hand, the Yuva 2 Pro phone is available through both offline and online channels. Whether the regular Yuva 2 model is sold on Amazon remains to be seen. Specifications of Lava Yuva 2 Pro
Lava Yuva 2 Pro has a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display. It is launched with MediaTek’s Helio G37 processor. The phone offers 4GB RAM, 3GB virtual RAM support and 64GB storage. For photography, the Yuva 2 Pro has a 13-megapixel triple camera setup with LED flash on the back, while a 5-megapixel selfie camera is present on the front. For power backup, this Lava phone is powered by a 5,000mAh capacity battery with standard 10W charging support.
The device runs on Android 12 operating system and offers an anonymous call recording feature. Lava Yuva 2 Pro has a glass back and includes features like dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C port and 3.5mm audio jack.
