After the successful launch of Lava Blaze Curve 5G earlier this month, Indian smartphone maker, Lava is already gearing up to launch another new phone in the country. The handset will debut as Lava O2. The company has now started teasing it on social media platforms. Also, the product page has gone live on Amazon (Amazon India). Let’s take a look at what the teasers and Amazon have revealed about the upcoming Lava O2.
Lava O2 Teaser and Amazon Listing Out
The teaser shared by the company shows Lava O2 in Green color variant and it showcases a slightly different design from its predecessor Lava O1. The new phone’s camera module ends where the mid-frame starts, much like the Lava Yuva 3 Pro. This module will house the dual-camera setup and an LED flashlight.
Apart from the green color option shown in the teaser, Amazon has revealed that the smartphone will also be available in a Majestic Purple variant. The bottom of the device will house the speaker grill and charging port, while the power and volume buttons will be seen on the right side of the frame.
The Lava O2’s Amazon listing also reveals that the smartphone will be powered by a Unisoc T616 octa-core processor, with an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 250,000. The processor will be paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 in-built storage. The phone will also get additional 8 GB virtual RAM support. However, many may be disappointed to know that the device will ship with the older Android 13 operating system.
Besides, the Lava O2 will have a 6.5-inch screen on the front that will offer an HD+ resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. For photography, the Lava O2 is said to sport a 50-megapixel AI dual camera setup on the back. And for selfies, the phone will house an 8-megapixel lens on the front.
In terms of power backup, the Lava O2 will be powered by a large 5,000mAh lithium polymer battery with 18W USB Type-C charging support. The phone measures 165 x 76.1 x 8.7 mm and weighs 200 grams. Other features of the device listed by Amazon include a 2x fast side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock, edge glass back, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack.
