Motorola is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in India, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. The device was launched in April in the global market alongside the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion handset. The Edge 50 Fusion is currently available for sale in the country. And now, the company has released a teaser stating that the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Edition will be launched in India soon. Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is coming soon to the Indian market
The Motorola India X (formerly Twitter) handle shared a teaser of the smartphone with the tag “Coming Soon”. The teaser image showcased the rear of the upcoming handset with a wood-textured rear panel and camera unit. This teaser confirms that it is the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, specifically its 'Nordic Wood' variant. The upcoming Indian version of the Ultra model is expected to offer the same specifications as the global model.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It runs on Android 14 based Hello UI custom skin. It has a 6.7-inch 144Hz Full-HD+ polarized screen.
For photography, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra's triple rear camera unit consists of a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor with up to 3x optical zoom. And there is a 50 megapixel sensor on the front of the phone.
For power backup, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra comes with a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 125W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. It offers connectivity options like dual 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, Near Field Communication, Bluetooth 5.4 and a USB Type-C port. Also, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
