The teaser says that the curtain will be lifted on the concept version of the car in Cape Town, South Africa on Independence Day on August 15. Presumably, it will be based on the company’s Mahindra Scorpio N platform. Again, their upcoming five-door Thar will also be built on this same architecture. Apart from this pick-up truck, it is believed that several other models may be glimpsed on the day. Mahindra Scorpio N Based Pick-up Truck Coming The upcoming pick-up truck is codenamed Z121. The wheelbase will be longer than the standard Scorpio N SUV. As a result it will have the advantage of a large cargo deck. Note that the Gateway, which is based on the Mahindra Scorpio Classic, has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. Whereas the pick-up version of the Scorpio N will have a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. As a result, a large cargo deck can be easily replaced. https://twitter.com/Mahindra_Auto/status/1685220252257550336?t=O4csXWD2rbkfkANACyi2cA&s=19 Mahindra has not yet released any images or information about their upcoming pick-up truck concept. The video shows the double cab body style, rugged looking front grille, and large wheeled tires for off-road use. The production version of the Mahindra Scorpio N pick-up truck is expected to hit the market in 2025. It is likely to come in both single and double cab body styles. It has petrol and diesel engine options as powertrain. Again the car can be chosen with two transmissions – manual and automatic. Mahindra will offer its pick-up truck in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. However, whether the upcoming model will replace the Scorpio pick-up or be sold as a standalone model is not yet clear.
