HTC is gearing up to launch its new U series of smartphones. The company has announced the arrival of a new phone without mentioning any name in its latest social media post. The handset will be launched next week and is speculated to be launched as HTC U24 /HTC U24 Pro. Of these, the HTC U24 Pro model is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. HTC is going to launch a new phone next week
Through a social media post, HTC has revealed the launch of a new smartphone in its home market of Taiwan The launch event will be held on June 12 at 8:00 am (India time). The poster shows the side profile of a phone with the 'Coming Soon' tag Although HTC has not revealed the name of the handset yet, based on initial speculation it is expected to be launched next week as HTC U24 or HTC U24 Pro.
HTC U24 Series Specifications (Expected)
Last April, an HTC smartphone with the model number 2QDA100 (likely the HTC U24) was spotted on the Geekbench and Bluetooth SIG certification websites. According to the listing, it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and will offer 12GB of RAM, run Android 14 operating system and support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. The HTC U24 scored 3,006 and 1,095 points in Geekbench's multi-core and single-core tests, respectively.
The HTC U24 and HTC U24 Pro are expected to bring some upgrades over last year's HTC U23 and HTC U23 Pro models. The upcoming models may offer a FullHD+ 120Hz OLED display and an IP67 certified build. Notably, the HTC U23 and HTC U23 Pro feature a 6.7-inch FullHD+ (1,080x 2,400 pixels) OLED display panel, which offers a 120Hz refresh rate. They run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage. The HTC U23 phone has a triple rear camera unit, housing a 64-megapixel primary sensor. The quad rear camera unit of the HTC U23 Pro model has a 108-megapixel main sensor. Both the phones have a 32-megapixel front camera. They offer a 4,600mAh battery with 30W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging support.
