Popular smartphone maker brand Honor has recently officially announced the Honor 90 series in their home market. The newcomer to the smartphone lineup is the successor to the Honor 80 series that debuted in 2022. The new Pro model of the Honor 90 Pro model will be seen with a glass body surrounded by a metallic frame. It will have a curved display panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a dual selfie unit of 32 megapixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, up to 16 GB of RAM and a large battery with 100 W fast charging support. Honor 90 Pro specifications and features
The premium grade Honor 90 Pro smartphone comes with a stylish and sleek body, which somewhat resembles its predecessor. But as a difference, the rear camera module of the phone is of dual ring design, which is inspired by haute couture and craftsmanship in luxury jewelry. And the Honor 90 Pro model, which comes with a glass body surrounded by a metallic frame, weighs 192 grams and is only 8.1 mm thick.
The new Honor 90 Pro smartphone features a 6.78-inch curved display with curved edges. This display panel supports – 1.5K+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 1600 nits peak brightness, 3850 Hz PWM dimming, 1.07 billion colors, 94.4% screen-to-body ratio and DCI P3 wide color gamut.
Besides, the design of this display is pill-shaped punch-hole style, in which the dual selfie camera is located in the cutout. These cameras are – 50-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel depth-of-field shooter. On the other hand, the Honor 90 Pro features a triple camera setup on the back panel. These cameras are – 200-megapixel Samsung HP3 sensor with f/1.9 aperture, 32-megapixel telephoto 68mm secondary sensor with 2.5x optical zoom, f/2.2 aperture and OIS support, and 12 with f/2.2 aperture. For performance, the Honor 90 Pro model uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It will have up to 16 GB of RAM and a maximum of 512 GB of storage. The device is powered by MagicOS 7.1 custom skin based on Android 13. Above all, the company is offering faster and next-generation 5G networking for this new smartphone than its predecessor.
Moreover, for connectivity it supports Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C port, LDAC, AptX, and AptX HD codecs. And in terms of power backup, the Honor 90 Pro smartphone has a 5,000mAh capacity battery, which supports an impressive 100W fast charging. It will have an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Honor 90 Pro Price
The base variant of the newly arrived Honor 90 Pro smartphone with 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage has been priced at 3,299 Yuan (about Tk 38,500). Besides, the top-end options with 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage are priced at 3,599 Yuan (about Tk 42,000) and 3,899 Yuan (about Tk 45,500) respectively. It is available in multiple color options namely – Diamond Silver, Peacock Blue, Emerald Green and Midnight Black.
Talking about the availability, pre-orders for this new Honor smartphone have already started in China. However, there is no word yet on when the phone will be brought to the global market including India.
