HMD Atlas: HMD brings great mid-range phone, design along with all the features leaked

After launching the HMD Vibe earlier this year, HMD Global is believed to be gearing up to launch another budget phone in the US market, called the HMD Atlas. And now a tipster has released renders of the phone, which reveal its design. The HMD Atlas phone is claimed to be the successor to the Nokia G400 handset launched in 2022. Let's find out what information has emerged from the render.

The render of HMD Atlas phone has come forward

A sketch and a render image of the HMD Atlas phone have been shared by the X (formerly known as Twitter) account HMD Mims, giving a glimpse of the phone's design. The HMD Atlas phone has a flat body with a rectangular camera module on the back. And the front of the phone has a slim bezel with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The renders show the phone in an olive green shade, but it is expected to have other color options as well.

The HMD Atlas will feature a 6.64-inch IPS LCD display on the front, offering FullHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The camera setup includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens and a depth sensor. A punch-hole cutout on the front of the phone houses a 16-megapixel camera for selfies.

For power backup, the HMD Atlas phone will have a powerful 5,500 mAh battery, which supports Quick Charge 4.0 technology. The phone's connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and Near Field Communication (NFC). The device will also offer a microSD card slot, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio.

The tweet claims that the HMD Atlas phone will measure 163 x 75 x 8.75 mm and weigh 210 grams. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the handset is expected to be priced at $239.99 (roughly Rs. 20,050), but nothing is confirmed about its launch date yet.
