Garmin launched the Garmin Forerunner 745 which is a mid-range offering compared to Garmin Forerunner 945. The new smartwatch delivers all the necessary tracking features and additional features that may help you during your workout session.

Garmin Forerunner 745 features a 1.2-inch transflective MIP (Memory in Pixel) always-on display with a 240 x 240-pixel resolution. In terms of build quality, the smartwatch is Garmin’s smallest and lightest full-featured running and triathlon smartwatch. The watch measures 43.8 x 43.8 x 13.3 mm and weighs 47 grams.



The smartwatch comes with a blood oxygen sensor for VO2 max data and a pulse oximeter for sleep tracking. The watch is 5ATM waterproof and supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity as there is no cellular support. The watch is equipped with a decent battery which can last up to one week if used moderately. The watch can last up to 16 hours if GPS used continuously while the use of GPS and music playback brings down the battery life to 6 hours between charges.



In addition, Forerunner 745 comes pre-loaded with activity profiles for swimming, biking, and running. The activity tracker can also track over 100 other activities. There are even advanced stats like swim pace and stroke as well as cycling balance and platform center offset.

Garmin Forerunner 745 comes in GPS only variant as there is no Cellular variant and is priced at $500 in the US, €490 in the UK, and £450 in Europe. The watch comes in three color options namely black, white, red and green.
