From the processor to the camera, Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is ready to take the smartphone world by storm, here are the details of the features

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra phone is coming soon to the Indian market. This high-end device was recently unveiled in the global market. So now, the specifications and features of this device are no longer unknown. Let's know what the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra phone is going to offer before it comes to this country.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Phone Features

1. Premium wood design

In the premium segment, glass panels are considered the most ideal. Even vegan leather on recent smartphone models has become increasingly popular. But now, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is expected to bring a refreshing new wood back option to the market. Its initial launch has already revealed that the upcoming smartphone could be available in three color options, with two different materials used on the rear panel. These include a forest gray and peach fuzz option, which is a vegan leather option. On the other hand, the Nordic Wood variant uses real wood. All the three variants come with a sandblasted aluminum frame.

2. Long and bright display

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra features a tall 6.7-inch LTPS POLED display, which offers a 2,712 x 1,220 pixel resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel has a 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+ support and a high 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. It offers 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut and 2,500 nits peak brightness. Its display is Pantone certified and has an in-display fingerprint scanner. Notably, the device features a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus panel for protection with an anti-fingerprint coating.

3. Flagship chipset

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It is a high-end chipset, which is a slightly cut down version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. For power backup, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra phone uses a 4,500 mAh battery, which supports 125 W wired fast charging, 50 W wireless fast charging and 10 W wireless reverse charging.

For audio, the device has a dual stereo speaker setup, tuned by Dolby Atmos. It comes with Snapdragon Sound support, which enables lossless audio for wireless headphones and earbuds. The handset will also get an X-axis motor for haptics. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra phone includes dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7 and Near Field Communication (NFC). The phone runs on Android 14 operating system. Motorola offers an IP68 (IP689) rating for water and dust resistance.

4. Versatile triple camera setup

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra's triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with laser autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS), paired with a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with OIS support and 3x optical zoom. And the last sensor is a 50 megapixel ultra wide angle lens.

For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 50-megapixel camera on the front. Even the camera system is certified by Pantone to accurately reproduce colors with skin tones. So it will have access to shooting modes like portrait, macro, timelapse, panorama, pro mode, super high resolution mode and more.

5. Launch date and price

Motorola is gearing up to unveil the Edge 50 Ultra in India on June 18 at 12 PM. Although the Indian pricing is yet to be revealed, the flagship device is likely to be priced at EUR 999 (roughly Rs. 90,200). Its Indian price is expected to be around the Rs 70,000 price point or above.
