Farewell to the world of smartphones, this company announced its last phone launch

The competition in the smartphone market is increasing day by day. Even so, top brands like Apple and Samsung are finding it more challenging to sell phones than ever before. Undoubtedly, the Chinese brand Meizu is one of the smartphone manufacturers affected by this situation. The company once held a large market share in various countries, especially China. However, in the past few years the company has gone from good to worse due to intense competition. Recently there were reports that Meizu will leave the smartphone market and focus entirely on the AI sector However, now it seems that the Chinese brand is not willing to give up just yet, as they have announced the launch date of a new phone called the Meizu 21 Pro. It will enter the market this month itself.

Meizu 21 Pro could be the company’s last smartphone

The Meizu 21 Pro will be unveiled on February 29 at an event hosted by the brand in China. Like any unreleased phone, there are already numerous speculations floating around the internet about this Meizu handset. The first and most attention-grabbing of these is the price. The predecessor, the Meizu 20 Pro was launched in China at a price of 3,999 Yuan (approximately Rs. 46,840).

Hence, many were thinking that the price of the new model will also be the same. However, some sources have indicated that the price of the Meizu 21 Pro could potentially go up to 6,000 Yuan (roughly Rs. 70,300). At first glance this price may seem too high, but keep in mind that the Meizu 21 Pro will be a flagship device. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will be used in it.

Also, the Meizu 21 Pro is expected to feature a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED panel with an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader. The phone’s 4,800mAh battery can support 80W fast charging. For photography, there will be a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. And a 40 megapixel selfie camera can be seen in front of the phone.

Also, like the recent flagships, Meizu 21 Pro is also expected to get a bunch of AI features. Meizu recently announced that it has discontinued its traditional “smartphone” projects to focus on the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Therefore, Meizu 21 Pro could be the last traditional smartphone of this brand. However, this is a guess for now, as no clear statement has been made on the matter yet.
