Poco is a very well-known brand for launching budget-friendly smartphones in the Indian market. One of the latest devices from Xiaomi’s sub-brand in this segment is the Poco C51, which was launched in the country last April. It is already an entry-level smartphone. But now to make it even more affordable, Poco has unveiled a special variant in partnership with Airtel. This exclusive edition will be available for Rs 5,999.
Airtel exclusive offer with Poco C51
This special offer for Poco C51 is applicable for Airtel prepaid customers only. Existing users of the telecom company, new users and those who have ported their existing number to Airtel – all are covered by this offer. As per the offer, the Poco C51 phone can be purchased at an effective price of just Rs 5,999, which includes Airtel exclusive benefits.
The first benefit is that buyers will get a 7.5% discount (up to Rs. 750) on the selling price of the Poco C51. Users can compare prices of Airtel-locked and unlocked variants of the phone to know the exact discount amount. Airtel is offering free 50GB data to all customers. This additional data will be available in the form of five coupons totaling 10 GB. However, only one coupon can be redeemed in a month and once claimed, it will be valid for 30 days.
Since, this is an Airtel exclusive offer, the special variant of Poco C51 will be pre-locked for 18 months. The user needs to insert an Airtel SIM card in the phone within the first 24 hours of device setup. The SIM card must have at least Rs.199 ‘Airtel Truly Unlimited’ plan recharge. If a user fulfills these conditions, he can use a non-Airtel SIM in the other SIM card slot. The Airtel-locked variant of the Poco C51 will go on sale from July 18 on Flipkart.
Specifications of Poco C51
Launched in April, the Poco C51 features a 6.52-inch HD+ (1,600 x 720 pixels) water drop notch display. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 processor with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz. The phone comes with 4GB RAM (up to 3GB virtual RAM support) and 64GB in-built storage. Poco C51 runs on Android 13 (Go Edition) operating system.
For photography, Poco C51 features an 8-megapixel AI dual rear camera setup with f/2.0 aperture on the rear panel and a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front of the phone. For power backup, the Poco C51 packs a 5,000mAh battery with standard 10W charging. Other features of the phone include MIUI dialer, 3.5mm headphone jack, fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4 GHz WiFi, and dust and splash proof design.
