Speculations about the next smartphone in the Asus Zenfone series have been rife for the past few months. The company mainly launches flagship phones in compact form factor under this series. Named Zenfone 11 Ultra, the device was rumored to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024) event later this month. Now finally the company has revealed the launch date. But not this month, Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra will enter the global market next month i.e. March.
Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is coming to the global market next month
Asus has announced that a launch event for the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra will be held on March 14. The event will start at 8pm (GMT+8). It will be livestreamed on Asus’ official YouTube channel. Various information about Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra has been floating on the internet since last December. Even last week, renders of the handset were leaked, revealing the design and color options.
According to the leaked images, the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra should look similar to the company’s latest Asus ROG Phone 8 series. It will be available in five impressive color variants namely Eternal Black, Skyline Blue, Misty Grey, Verdure Green and Desert Sienna.
Earlier in the month, a source revealed that the Zenfone 11 Ultra could feature a 6.78-inch FullHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is also rumored to feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 32-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. And a 32 megapixel selfie camera can be seen in front of the phone. For security, this device from Asus will offer an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
In terms of software, the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is expected to run on Android 14 operating system. Finally, for backup, the Zenfone 11 Ultra will come with a large 5,500mAh battery, which is expected to support 65W wired and 15W wireless charging standards.
