Vivo-subsidiary popular brand iQOO is mainly known for manufacturing high-performance smartphones. Recently the brand announced an upgrade for some of their phones The iQOO 12 and iQOO Neo 9 series smartphones will now support the latest Wi-Fi 7 connectivity in China, the company said on social media.

However, the company confirmed through its Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) account that the Chinese models will get the upgrade. However, there is no word yet on whether the global models of the series will also get Wi-Fi 7. We will have to wait for the official announcement from ICO to know clearly about the international availability.

iQOO 12 / Neo 9 Series Specifications
Launched last November, the iQOO 12 series features the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, iQOO’s custom e-sports chip Q1 and Adreno 750 GPU. The phones in the iQOO 12 lineup run on Android 14-based OriginOS 4 custom skin for a streamlined user experience.
The standard iQOO 12 has a larger 6.78-inch AMOLED display, while the 12 Pro offers a curved-edge screen. Both offer high refresh rates and impressive resolutions. These phones have a versatile triple-camera setup with high-resolution primary, ultrawide and telephoto lenses.
On the other hand, iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro launched in December last year have excellent displays with HDR10+ and 144 Hz refresh rate. The Standard and Pro models of the Neo 9 series are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processors respectively. A dedicated gaming chip further enhances the performance of these devices.
