Canon EOS M50 mark ii is the most awaited mirrorless camera till now but now the company after two years of EOS M50 finally launched its successor. Canon EOS M50 is the #1 selling mirrorless camera in the US and it is one of the best in the price range it comes.
Canon EOS M50 mark ii Features
According to the company, the Canon EOS M50 Mark II includes “many of the beloved features of its EOS M50” while adding a few more features to enhance its usability. The new M50 Mark ii APS-C CMOS sensor is backed by the same Canon DIGIC 8 processor-powered in M50.
Canon EOS M50 mark ii comes with improved Dual Pixel CMOS AF that now also includes Face and eye tracking in video mode. The camera now has vertical video shooting support and LCD adds a tap video record button and movie self-timer for a better vlogging experience. The M50 mark ii has High-quality webcam capability when used with the free EOS Webcam Utility software or Clean HDMI output.
As the increasing Game live streamers on Youtube the company adds Wireless YouTube Live streaming capability (live stream feature is only supported with YouTube). Canon also adds the support to tap the screen to autofocus on your subject while looking through the EVF ( To control the main focus of the image).
Canon stated that the new camera also supports a burst of 36 Large (Fine) JPEGs and 10 JPEG+RAWs. The Canon M50 Mark II is capable of recording 4K video up to 24 frames per and can’t able to record 4K at 30 frames per second similar to the M50. There is no major change done by the Canon to the new M50 Mark ii compared to M50 as expected.
Canon Speedlite EL-1
Along with M50 Mark II, The company has also announced the Speedlite EL-1 that is specially designed to work seamlessly with any EOS camera. The Speedlite can continuously fire up to 170 times because of a new active cooling system. It also includes the support of wireless second-curtain sync, a new joystick, an LED modeling lamp, and a new interface and display as well.
The Speedlite L1 offers an expanded power range with a “micro flash” minimum flash output as low as 1/8192 power, a zoom flash head that covers a wide focal length range of 24-200mm, bounce angle expanded to 120 degrees, and the same level of weather-sealing that is comparable with the EOS-1D camera series.
It comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack that offers high-speed recycle times and an increase in the number of flashes while using the Canon LC-E6 battery charger. The EL-1 comes in two color filters and a bounce adapter for additional lighting control.
Canon EOS M50 mark ii Price
The Canon EOS M50 Mark II camera is priced at $599 for the body only and $699 for the body with a 15-45mm kit lens and also $929.99 for the body along with EF-M 15-45mm and EF-M55-200mm double zoom lens kit. It will be available to purchase in Late November 2020 in some countries. The Canon Speedlite EL-1 carries a price tag of $1,099.00 and will be available for purchase from February 2021.
