Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to launch some new smartphones under their flagship number series with T-branding. The upcoming Xiaomi 14T series may include two phones – the standard Xiaomi 14T and the Xiaomi 14T Pro. These successor models to the Xiaomi 13T lineup launched in September last year are expected to offer multiple upgrades. The Xiaomi 14T Pro is said to be a slightly upgraded version of the Redmi K70 Ultra. So let’s see how the Xiaomi 14T series is going to be.
Xiaomi 14T series spotted in HyperOS code
Android Headlines spotted the Xiaomi 14 series on Xiaomi’s HyperOS code. Among them, the Xiaomi 14 Pro phone has a codename (rothko) and abbreviated model number (N12), which matches the upcoming Redmi K70 Ultra, indicating that the two phones will be identical. However, the report claims that the Xiaomi 14 Pro will come with some improved specifications compared to the Redmi K70 Ultra.
The smartphone is said to feature wireless charging and a telephoto camera with a Leica lens, which is not expected to be seen on the Redmi K70 Ultra. Also, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is likely to run on the MediaTek Dimension 9300 processor. On the other hand, the standard Xiaomi 14T may retain the same MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset used in its predecessor Xiaomi 13T.
Note that the Xiaomi T series usually differentiates between the standard and Pro models by the processor. Both the 13T and 13T Pro offer similar cameras and batteries. The same is expected to be the case with the Xiaomi 14T series. Redmi K70 Ultra is rumored to be launched in China in August. And the Xiaomi 14T series will probably debut in the global market next September.
