Barbie Flip Phone (Barbie Flip Phone) is coming to the world market within a few days. On Sunday, Nokia phone licensee Human Mobile Device i.e. HMD partnered with leading global toy company Mattel to take the wraps off the Barbie Flip Phone. The company said the device will be available in a vintage, sparkle pink color like the original Girl Empowerment brand device.
The company also said that they are thrilled to be partnering with Mattel. Because, through this partnership, they will be able to share with each other their different views on innovation and social change.
Lars Silber Bauer, chief executive of HMD, said that with 4 in 10, or 38 percent, of 16-24-year-old teenagers addicted to their smartphones, this could serve as a digital detox solution.
Note that feature phones are making a comeback with HMD. And according to a report by HMD, sales of flip phones doubled in 2023 compared to 2022 in Europe alone, so expect more growth in 2024.
Ruth Henry Cage, an official at Mattel, said, “Barbie and HMD together are going to present an exciting moment for Barbie fans of all ages, and that’s why they unveiled the Barbie device to the world at Mobile World Congress.” It will be available for sale shortly.
