Google has already released their Android 15 Beta version, which is currently available on several handsets. Next month they will bring its stable version. Before that now companies like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Lenovo have urged app developers to adapt Android 15 version in their apps.
Google has unveiled the next generation Android operating system developed by them, Android 15. But it is not yet ready for stable release. Google's new mobile operating system has many new features, including built-in satellite connection support, which some Chinese phone manufacturers already offer on their devices. Also, several Chinese smartphone brands have already released the Android 15 Beta version for their select smartphones. Now they have appealed to Android application developers to adapt this latest software version in their apps.
Chinese brands are pushing app developers to adapt Android 15 version
Although the OnePlus 12, Nothing Phone (2A) and Realme 12 Pro Plus are among the first devices to receive the Android 15 update, it is worth noting that this first version is bug-ridden, i.e. problematic and not ideal for everyday use. To ensure a smooth user experience, Chinese tech companies have asked app developers to make their apps compatible for Android 15 OS as soon as possible.
Apart from new features, Android 15 OS also includes changes to Android APIs. Google launched the first version of Android 15 phones last February and the stable version is expected to be released after July. The Chinese smartphone maker expects app developers to make the necessary changes by August 21. Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo have shared essential guides for developers on their websites.
However, this is not the first partnership between these Chinese companies. Earlier, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo launched a cross-device wireless file transfer standard. And now, they have released a joint statement aimed at app developers.
