Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2 announced with blood oxygen level tracker and more


Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2 have been announced with blood oxygen level tracker and more. The Chinese company has introduced two new wearable products with various improvements and certain new features.


Amazfit GTR 2



The Huami Amazfit GTR 2 features a 1.39 inch AMOLED panel with 328 PPI density. The display has a peak brightness of 450 nits. The design of the smartwatch seems to be slimmer than the previous generation and features two crowns on the right side. The wearable is built with a 3D glass on the top that is covered by a ceramic bezel. The company claims that each watch passes through 35 processes and over 27 hours of polishing. The wearable glass is also coated with a diamond-like carbon coating to avoid any scratches during use, with a 9H hardness comparable to sapphire.


The new smartwatch can be purchased in two variants – a class model that has a stainless steel body and leather strap or a sports model that comes with an aluminum alloy body with a silicone strap. The smartwatch is equipped with the latest BioTracker 2 PPG optical sensor that allows the user to check the blood oxygen saturation levels alongside mapping the user’s heart rate. The company claims that the saturation measurements can reach up to 96 percent, which is almost similar to the professional oximeter.


The smartwatch packs with a 14 days long battery life and also have features such as blood oxygen detection and can also monitor sleep patterns. It supports NFC for various payments and other security features as well.


In terms of storage, It has 4GB of internal storage. The Huami Amazfit GTR 2 can be supported by both Android and iOS smartphones. Additionally, It also features the XiaoAI voice assistant. It includes the support of GPS and GLONASS positioning systems.


Amazfit GTS 2



Amazfit GTS 2 comes with a rectangular 1.65 inch AMOLED display. The screen has 450 nits of peak brightness and a 341 PPI density. In terms of design, It has a thinner and lighter frame as compared to the GTR 2 but still features the same roundness and, similar diamond-like coating for added protection. It has 12 sports modes and the company said that it will support up to 90 different modes in the future. The wearable packs with a 7 days battery life. It will be available in four color options – obsidian black, streamer gold, and dolphin grey. 


Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2 Price


The Sport variant of Amazfit GTR 2 carries a price tag of 999 Yuan (around Rs.10,830) whereas the Class variant costs 1,099 Yuan (around Rs.11,912). On the other hand, the GTS 2 comes in the sole variant that costs similar to the sport variant of GTR 2, 999 Yuan (around Rs.10,830).
