Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy S24, Samsung Galaxy S24+ and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra under their flagship S-series as usual at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event held in January this year. However, the South Korean company has launched a model under the Galaxy S-lineup with Fan Edition/ FE-branding at a relatively affordable price, keeping in mind the middle-class buyers. This year’s lineup is therefore expected to include a fourth model called the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. Although there is no official confirmation from Samsung about the existence of this handset, it is expected to hit the market in October this year, as the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE arrived in October last year. The specifications of the Galaxy S24 FE have been revealed for the first time.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Specifications (Probable)
According to a tipster, Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will have 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM. It will come in two storage options – 128GB (UFS 3.1) and 256GB (UFS 4.0). The device is also said to offer a 4,500mAh battery. Although nothing has been revealed about the charging capacity, it is expected to support 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging like its predecessor.
It goes without saying that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will have an AMOLED display, but the tipster is not sure about its size. Other specifications of the smartphone are still under wraps. The predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S23FE, was launched in various countries last year with the company’s own Exynos 2200 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 – both chipset versions. However, another X post by the tipster revealed that the upcoming Galaxy S24FE will come with the Exynos chipset in the global market.
He also claimed that Samsung’s Galaxy Z series of foldable phones will feature the Qulacomm Snapdragon chipset, while the S-series will feature only the Exynos chipset. Meanwhile, the upcoming Galaxy A-series phones are rumored to feature both MediaTek and Exynos chipsets. This also applies to the M-series and F-series phones, as they are usually marketed as tweaked versions of the A-series phones.
