Samsung recently rolled out their new OneUI 6.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series in India, which adds the latest Galaxy AI features to the 2021 flagship phones. And now the company has started rolling out this latest OneUI version on the relatively affordable Samsung Galaxy A54 phone in the country. Notably, the device has already received the update in several other regions including Europe, the US and its home country. Let's find out what improvements the new OneUI 6.1 update brings to the Samsung Galaxy A54 handset.
OneUI 6.1 version has started rolling out on Samsung Galaxy A54 phone in India
One UI 6.1 software update for Samsung Galaxy A54 is 2,118 MB in size and its firmware version is A546EXXU7CXDD. The Samsung Galaxy A54 will get a few new features with the UI 6.1 update. After the update, the in-built gallery application will offer users more options while editing photos and videos
Also, now Samsung Galaxy A54 handset users can add a portrait effect to wallpapers, use video call effects, change microphone modes, use new lock screen widgets and more customization options and improved battery protection features. However, this update also lacks any significant AI features.
However, the OneUI 6.1 update will not offer any Galaxy AI features on the Samsung Galaxy A54. As for the on-device features, this is no surprise as the Exynos 1380 chip does not have the available CPU or neural cores that can drive the on-device models. The OneUI 6.1 update also doesn't offer cloud-based features on the Galaxy A54 handset, not even the popular 'circle to search' feature for searching by Google. However, Samsung Galaxy A54 phone users will not be disappointed, as the company has never promised to offer any Galaxy AI features in this phone.
If, a Samsung Galaxy A54 user has not yet received any notification regarding the new update, then he may have to wait for a few days for the update to rollout on his device. However, there is an option to manually check for the update by going to the software update option in the phone's settings.
