Redmi is rumored to launch the Redmi K70 Ultra smartphone this month. Xiaomi's sub-brand will then likely release the Redmi K80 series in China. A report earlier this week revealed that the Pro model of the lineup will have a 3x telephoto lens and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. And now a well-known tipster has revealed some important information about the Redmi K80 Pro model. Let's take a look at them.
Redmi K80 Pro camera and display specifications revealed
Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has confirmed that the Redmi K80 Pro will indeed come with a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto lens. Also, the tipster mentions that the phone will have a 2K flat display and will be powered by Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.
The tipster had earlier revealed that the phone will include a 5,500mAh battery and support 120W charging. Besides, other details about the smartphone are still unknown. The standard Redmi K80 model will also be launched alongside the Redmi K80 Pro phone. According to an earlier report, the standard K80 will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Like the Redmi K80 Pro model, the Redmi K80 phone is expected to feature a flat OLED (OLED) screen with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Although, the Redmi K80 Pro phone may have a telephoto camera similar to the previous generation Redmi K70 Pro handset, it is not clear if the standard K80 model will also have a telephoto camera. Another tipster mentioned that both phones will have a new design on the rear shell, using a new glass material.
Moreover, a report last month revealed that the K80 series will not include the Redmi K80E model as the successor to the Redmi K70E phone this year. The reason for this is that Xiaomi is currently focusing more on the premium devices of the Redmi K series. The Xiaomi 15 series is rumored to be the first to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. And the Redmi K80 series is expected to be launched in the month of November.
