Infinix is all set to officially launch their upcoming Zero 40 series of smartphones today (August 29). The specifications, features and price of both the Infinix Zero 40 5G and Infinix Zero 40 4G smartphones have been revealed by a source just hours before the launch. Let us know about them in detail.
Infinix Zero 40 5G Phone Specifications (Probable)
The Infinix Zero 40 5G model will sport a large 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 1,500 Hz. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 provides a layer of protection against scratches and impacts.
The phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimension 8200 Ultimate chipset, which will be paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The phone's storage options include 256GB and 512GB, both of which will use the fast UFS 3.1 technology.
The device will have a maximum 5,000mAh battery, which will support 45W wired, 20W wireless and even 10W reverse wired charging. The camera system of the Infinix Zero 40 5G phone also seems to be well equipped. It will have a 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM6 main sensor with both optical (OIS) and electronic image stabilization support (EIS) support. It will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor with a quad-LED flash and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
For selfies, the phone is said to have a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN1 sensor on the front with dual flash and EIS. Both the front and rear cameras of the phone can capture 4K video at 60 frames per second. An interesting addition to this phone will be an integration with GoPro devices. In terms of software, the Infinix Zero 40 5G phone will run on Android 14 based XOS 14.5 (XOS 14.5) custom skin. The company promises at least three years of security patches and future upgrades to Android 16. Also, the handset will have an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi 6e, Near Field Communication (NFC), an under-display fingerprint scanner and JBL-tuned dual speakers.

For budget-conscious buyers, the Infinix Zero 40 (4G) is a more affordable option. Although it will offer the same 6.78-inch AMOLED display, it will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, which will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Notably, wireless charging will be missing from this model.
Infinix Zero 40 Series Price
The Infinix Zero 40 4G phone will be available in three color options – Misty Aqua, Blossom Glow and Rock Black. It will be priced at $279 (roughly Rs. 23,415) in the US market. The Infinix Zero 40 5G variant with a more powerful processor and additional features will be available for $399 (roughly Rs. 33,500) and will be available in Violet Garden, Moving Titanium and Rock Black color options.
