OnePlus is going to launch its upcoming foldable handset called OnePlus Open Apex Edition in India on August 10. The device will be available on the Amazon India and OnePlus India websites and the price details are said to be announced tomorrow (August 7). Now ahead of the launch, OnePlus has revealed some interesting details about this special edition foldable.
The storage option of OnePlus Open Apex Edition has been revealed
According to the latest teaser, the OnePlus Open Apex Edition will launch with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, which is a significant upgrade over the standard OnePlus Open. But apart from the storage, the Apex Edition is said to retain the core features of its predecessor.
Specifications of OnePlus Open Apex Edition
The OnePlus Open has two displays. The cover display is a 6.31-inch Super Fluid AMOLED panel, offering 2K resolution, 10-120 Hz refresh rate and 2,800 nits peak brightness. The primary display is a 7.82-inch Flexi Fluid AMOLED screen with 2K resolution, which supports 1-120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and Dolby Vision. Both displays use a 10-bit LTPO 3.0 panel with UTG glass.
The OnePlus Open is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with an Adreno 740 GPU for graphics. It offers 16GB LPDDR5X RAM (expandable up to 12GB) and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The device runs on Android 13 based OxygenOS 13.2 custom skin.
The foldable phone's camera setup features a Hasselblad-tuned triple-camera system, including a 48-megapixel Sony LYT-T808 primary sensor, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel Omnivision OV32C telephoto sensor. And for selfies, the phone has a 32-megapixel sensor on the cover display and a 20-megapixel sensor on the main display.
For power backup, the device has a 4,805mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos audio and an IPX4 water resistance rating.
