Mahindra-owned company Classic Legends brought vintage British motorcycle brand BSA to India on August 15. A retro bike called Gold Star 650 has been launched in the country as their first model. Now the delivery of the motorcycle has started. The brand has started the process of handing over the bike to the buyers. BSA Gold Star 650 is priced at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
When it comes to design, the BSA Gold Star 650 really comes with old-school looks. The old design is present like the bike of old days. It has round headlamps, large fuel tank, flat single piece seat, long curved fenders. The use of chrome elements can be seen to bring out the classic style.
BSA has used a 652 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine in this bike. It is capable of producing 45 bhp of power at 6,500 rpm and 55 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The company has kept the features very basic. Dual channel ABS, semi-digital instrument cluster, and USB charging port will be found in this motorcycle.
Incidentally, the Insignia Red and Highland Green colors of the Gold Star will cost Rs 2.99 lakh. And Dawn Silver and Midnight Black color options are priced at 3.12. lakh On the other hand, Shadow Black paint scheme costs Rs 3.15 lakh to buy. Whereas the rival Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 starts at Rs 3.03 lakh. Remember, this is ex-showroom price.
