SUV buying trend among Indians is on the rise. Due to more space, comfort, riding, and advanced features, more buyers are inclined towards such cars. Recently electric models of SUV body have also started coming. You will be surprised to know that five great e-SUVs are going to be launched in the next one to one and a half years. The list includes names of Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Hyundai and Mahindra.

Tata Curvv and Harrier EV
Tata is launching its Curvv car in the middle of this year. It will first come in electric and ICE versions. Tata claims that this electric SUV coupe will provide a range of more than 500 km on a full charge. The five-seater will be based on the Acti.ev platform, which is also used in the Punch EV.
Tata is gearing up to launch its Harrier EV by the end of the year. It made its debut at the India Mobility Global Expo 2024 last month. This car will be inspired by the facelift version. The cabin will have multiple airbags, ADAS, floating touchscreen, digital cluster etc.
Hyundai Creta EV
Though not officially confirmed yet, the Creta EV is expected to be unveiled in late 2024 or early 2025. It will compete with the Maruti Suzuki eVX. It may use batteries from LG Chem and a powertrain from Kona Electric.
Maruti Suzuki eVX
By the end of 2023, Maruti Suzuki is set to launch its first electric SUV, the eVX. The car has already been seen testing several times on Indian roads. After manufacturing it in India, the company plans to export it to foreign markets. It will be based on Toyota’s 27PL platform. The top-end variant can get a range of 550 km from the 60 kWh battery pack.
Mahindra XUV.e8
Reports claim that the Mahindra XUV.e8 will hit the market in December. It is basically the electric version of the XUV700. The production version will be largely inspired by the concept model. Again it is going to be the first car based on the INGLO platform.
