Bajaj Auto is aiming to produce 10,000 units per month of Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X by September due to good demand. An official of the company said this very recently. However, suddenly the news of increasing the price of these two motorcycles launched jointly by Bajaj and Triumph came to the fore. Let’s see how much it will cost to buy Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 from now.
The Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X are priced around Rs 1,500
Triumph Speed 400 and Triumph Scrambler 400X will now cost around Rs 1,500 more than before. As a result of the price hike, the two models are currently priced at Rs 2,34,497 and Rs 2,64,496 (ex-showroom) respectively. It should be noted that the prices of these two bikes have been increased for the first time after the launch. The introductory price of the Speed 400 was Rs 2.23 lakh for a limited period after the launch.
Incidentally, both the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X bikes are based on the same platform. The first is the modern classic roadster bike. Whereas the second one is a scrambler model. The 398.15 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine on both the bikes produces a maximum power of 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. Comes with 6-speed transmission, slipper and assist clutch.
The main difference between Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X is their bicycle parts. The former runs on 17-inch alloy wheels and Road Focus tyres. Whereas the second one features 19-inch alloy wheels with block pattern tires. The Scrambler model has larger 320 mm front disc brakes compared to the 300 mm unit present on the Speed 400. Both bikes have dual channel ABS and can be disabled on the scrambler. Notable features include full LED lighting, semi-digital console, Bluetooth connectivity, traction control and USB charger.
