Chartr App has been launched by the Delhi Government. Now, Delhi citizens able to book the bus tickets directly from their smartphones. This is the only app which has been approved for buying contactless e-tickets in New Delhi and it is available for free on play store.
The state government of Delhi has started a new initiative to provide contactless ticket booking. The government launched a dedicated app namely “Chartr” using which people can book their Bus on Metro tickets online. The Application also comes with a lot of features including Directions, Live bus tracking and route information, Public information system (PIS) and more.
How to Buy Tickets of Buses using Chartr App – Contactless E-Ticketing Online
There are two methods used to buy tickets from Chartr App:
- By Fare
- By Destination
By Fare
The user needs to scan a QR code that is present on the bus using the Chartr app. Then, the user has to select the fare amount and pay. After a successful transaction, the user receives the ticket.
By Destination
Firstly, the user needs to select the initial and final destination of its route. The user simply scans the QR code present on the bus. Fare is automatically calculated and displayed to the user mobile. When the user pays the fare amount, it will receive its e-ticket.
The users of the Chartr also able to view the active tickets in the view tickets section. The Chartr App developer also said that it will be available in the Hindi language soon.
In any case, you don’t find Chartr App on the play store then the government also provides an alternate method to download the App. Smartphone users can send the “HI” message on “9910096264”. After that, the user will receive a message of the play store link of Chartr App. Click on the link and download it.
