BSNL network will soon spread across India, recently the company has set up more than 1500 4G sites in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Recently BSNL announced that they have completed the installation of 25,000 4G sites across the country. Similarly, on August 17, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited's UP East Circle informed that the company has recently set up more than 1500 4G sites in the region. The company said it completed the deployment using indigenous 4G technology with the help of a consortium led by TCS. And this is how BSNL has started trying to quickly reach its network all over India by setting up 4G sites in different parts of the country.
Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia recently confirmed that BSNL has set a daily target level for 4G network rollout. And, the Telecom Secretary and he personally monitor this target constantly. He believes the company will also be able to cross the milestone of setting up 75000 4G sites by October 2024. He also feels that the telco can set a precedent by setting up 1,00,000 4G sites before the end of the current financial year (31 March 2025).
BSNL has not participated in the tariff hike with the private telecom operators, and hence they are still offering various plans at lower prices to the customers. However, their plans are cheap and affordable but the lack of advanced network has left users somewhat disappointed. However, it is believed that the state-run telecom operator's 4G network deployment across the country may become beneficial for the common man in the coming days.
Meanwhile, BSNL is offering free 4G SIM card to each of their customers to promote 4G network and add new customers to them. According to the company, they will launch 5G commercially in 2025 once they can launch 4G network across the country.
