As the saying goes, people only make mistakes! It is very normal to see errors in the device there. Why are you thinking about such a topic? In fact, various manufacturers are often seen withdrawing certain lot models from the market due to the fear of mechanical problems in the vehicles. Reputed companies like Tesla, BMW have also been seen doing this in the past. This time Yamaha India followed that path.
Yamaha India to recall 3 lakh scooters from the market
The Indian arm of the Japanese company has announced the recall of over 3 lakh models of the two 125 cc scooters – Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid. Which is the highest in the history of the organization in this country. This decision is due to the fear that some of these models have malfunctions in the brake lever function.
It has been reported that every Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid manufactured from January 1, 2022 to January 4, 2024 will get a free replacement of the brake lever if found to have lumps. Now the thing is, after hearing this news, many have started to wonder if their scooter is covered by this announcement of the company!
In this context, you have to go to the Yamaha Indian website to find out whether your Yamaha scooter is under the re-call. Enter the ‘SC 125 Voluntary Recall’ option and enter the chassis number details of your model. It will be known from there. You can also call the nearest service center or company’s toll free number – 1800-420-1600.
Incidentally, reports claim that this is the second largest re-call of a two-wheeler so far in the Indian automobile industry. In May 2021, Honda recalled a total of 6,15,666 units of their two-wheelers from the market. Which included – Activa 5G/6G/125, CB Shine, CB 300R, H’ness CB350, X-Blade and Hornet.
