Famous British company Triumph has started taking bookings for its new supersport bike in India. A deposit of Rs 25,000 is required to book the model named Daytona 660. As a result, the model is expected to be launched in the country in July or August. The bike was in the process of reaching showrooms last month. The launch date is likely to be announced next week.

Notably, Triumph is bringing back the Daytona name and using it on their new 660cc platform. Compared to the previous generation Daytona 675, the new model is going to be a bit more touring friendly and outright supersport motorcycle. Triumph has given this bike a 660 cc engine that produces 95 bhp of power at 11,250 rpm and 69 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm.
The company claims that most of the torque will be available from 3,215 rpm. Hardware setup includes 41mm USD front fork and monoshock suspension with preload adjustment. There are 310mm twin and 220mm single disc brakes at the front and rear respectively.
The bike will offer great features. The list includes all LED lighting, TFT or LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity, Rain, Road and Sport riding modes. It is estimated that the Triumph Daytona 660 will be launched in India under 10 lakhs (ex-showroom).
