But WhatsApp is not sitting idly by. The platform has launched a new Global Security Center to enhance security. Through which users will be informed, how they can avoid international spam calls and messages.
According to this messaging company, they have created a special online resource. By which users can realize how they can better protect their privacy through the various features available in this app. Moreover, the Global Security Center will create greater awareness among users. They will teach how to use WhatsApp safely and how to manage the security of this app.
WhatsApp Security Center to be available in 10 languages
The company said the Global Security Center will be available in ten languages other than English. These include – Bengali, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Urdu and Gujarati. In order to provide a safe experience to the users as per government directives, the company took several necessary steps last month to prevent international spam calls. Which the organization finds to be quite effective in dealing with this problem.
Number of WhatsApp users in India
WhatsApp currently has more than 500 million (50 crore) users in India and is currently the most used chatting app in the country. The messaging app once hosted the ‘Stay Safe with WhatsApp’ campaign in India, informing users about features that help improve online security.
