Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited or BSNL is set to launch a 5G upgradeable 4G network across Karnataka's Mysuru, Manda, Chamaraja Nagar and Kodagu districts. According to a report in The Hindu, Tata Consultancy Services Limited or TCS played a special role in assisting BSNL in supplying and installing the network.
BSNL has started the installation of 4G towers
A total of 690 towers have been allocated in the mentioned areas. Out of which 337 towers will serve Mysuru and Chamaraja Nagar. And 200 and 153 towers will be allocated for Kodagu and Mandya respectively.
Ujjal Gulhane, Chief General Manager, Karnataka Circle, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, said in an interview in Mysuru that they are determined to provide good service. Note that BSNL has undertaken a 4G saturation project of the Government of India, which will be monitored by the Prime Minister's Office.
Incidentally, in the first phase of this project, 79 places have been identified in the rural areas of the Mysuru Business Area, including Mysuru, Chamaraja Nagar, Kodagu and Manda districts. And since no mobile operator has yet provided network coverage to these locations, BSNL has decided to provide network coverage to these locations.
Please note that 32 out of 55 sites in Kodagu and 14 out of 23 sites in Mysuru and Chamaraja Nagar have already been completed. However, the work of setting up two sites in Mandia is still under process.
