India's and the world's first CNG motorcycle, Bajaj Freedom, hit the market last month. After Gujarat and Maharashtra, Kerala, and Delhi, the bike is now available in Karnataka. Bajaj is planning to launch the Freedom model in 77 cities before Independence Day. You will be surprised to hear that they have started preparations to bring another CNG bike in the market cheaper than Freedom.
A camouflaged bike was recently seen doing road testing. It is claimed in the press to be a low-cost version of the Freedom. Several items have been eliminated to reduce costs. As can be seen the new brackets for the headlights. While the Freedom has LED headlamps, the new model is believed to have halogen units. The mudguard is also very simple in terms of design.
While the current model of the Bajaj Freedom has a telescopic fork covered by a cover, the new CNG motorcycle gets a more simple and affordable fork gaiter. The bike comes in single tone color whereas the Bajaj Freedom has dual tone color. Attractive graphics are expected to bring stylish looks. Besides, nothing special is known about the upcoming bike.
Please note that the Bajaj Freedom CNG is available in three variants. Drum i.e. the base version is priced at Tk 95,000. On the other hand, the Drum LED and Disc LED models will cost Rs 1,05,000 and Rs 1,10,000 respectively (ex-showroom). It has a 1 kg CNG tank, which can run up to 202 km if full. And a total mileage of 130 km can be obtained from the 2 liter petrol tank. The company claims that it can run up to 330 km with two fuels.
